Makar Sankranti Special!!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 cup Besan/Gram flour
- 1 cup Jaggery
- 3/4 cup Sesame seeds (polished or unpolished)
- Ghee
- 1/2 cup Maida
- 1 cup Wheat flour
METHOD:
For the Dough–
- Make a soft dough using maida and wheat flour. (You can avoid maida and use only wheat flour)
- Knead the dough using a little ghee
For the filling–
- Dry roast sesame seeds.
- Roast besan/gram flour in 2 tsp of ghee.
- Let it cool.
- Grind the sesame seeds and mix with roasted gram flour.
- Now take this mixture and add jaggery and just churn once in the grinder.
- Make sure sesame seeds, gram flour and jaggery mixes uniformly.
For Gud Poli–
- Now make a roti and stuff this mixture and roll it into a thin paratha.
- Fry in ghee on tava.
- Have hot yummy Gud Poli – Makarsankranti special.
