Quick and Easy Gujrati Snack

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup coarse wheat flour(laddu ka atta)
  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup curds (dahi)
  • 12-15 garlic and 2 green chillies paste
  • pinch of baking soda
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 – 3 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder
  • 1 cup grated dudhi (bottle gourd)
  • salt as per taste

For Tadka,

  • 2-3 tspMustard seeds (Rai)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1-2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

METHOD:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together to form a soft dough.
  2. Make cylindrical shapes and arrange them on the steamer plate.
  3. Place the steamer plate in the preheated Steamer.
  4. Steam for 15-20 minutes on high flame.
  5. Check the muthiyas by inserting knife…. if it comes clean that means its ready
  6. Remove the muthiyas and let it cool
  7. Cut them into pieces
  8. Take 2-3 tbsp oil in kadai and put 2 tsp mustard seeds ….let it crackle then add the muthiyas. Add lemon juice if required.
