Quick and Easy Gujrati Snack
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup coarse wheat flour(laddu ka atta)
- 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1/4 cup curds (dahi)
- 12-15 garlic and 2 green chillies paste
- pinch of baking soda
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 2 – 3 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder
- 1 cup grated dudhi (bottle gourd)
- salt as per taste
For Tadka,
- 2-3 tspMustard seeds (Rai)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1-2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
METHOD:
- Mix all the ingredients together to form a soft dough.
- Make cylindrical shapes and arrange them on the steamer plate.
- Place the steamer plate in the preheated Steamer.
- Steam for 15-20 minutes on high flame.
- Check the muthiyas by inserting knife…. if it comes clean that means its ready
- Remove the muthiyas and let it cool
- Cut them into pieces
- Take 2-3 tbsp oil in kadai and put 2 tsp mustard seeds ….let it crackle then add the muthiyas. Add lemon juice if required.
