INGREDIENTS:
- 8-10 black pepper kernels
- 2 tbsp. coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp. cumin seeds
- 2-3 cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 carrot chopped
- 4-5 tomatoes chopped
METHOD:
- Heat oil in a pan, then add all the spices
- After 2-3 minutes, add the tomatoes & carrots
- Add salt as per taste
- Cover with lid and cook till the tomatoes soften
- Then add a cup of water, and cover with a lid
- Remove the cinnamon stick, after water comes to a boil
- Using a hand blender, blend the mixture for a smooth texture
- Strain the mixture to get the tomato shorba
- Top with some fresh coriander leaves
