Chocolate Granola

INGREDIENTS:

For Chocolate Mud–

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
  • salt as per taste
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)

For Granola–

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup almonds
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 50g mixed seeds

METHOD:

For Chocolate Mud–

  1. Add all the ingredients to prepare the chocolate mud and mix well

For Granola–

  1. Add the ingredients into the chocolate mud
  2. You can add a variety of mix seeds like flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, chia seeds, etc.
  3. Make sure all ingredients are perfectly coated in the chocolate mud
  4. Spread the granola evenly on a baking tray
  5. Bake at 120C till the granola gets crisp (45-60 minutes)
  6. After every 20 minutes, remove the granola from the oven and using a fork break the large pieces (refer the video)
  7. Once done, let the granola cool completely
  8. Once cooled, the granola will have a nice crunchy and crispy texture
  9. Add in the dried cranberries and chocochips (optional)
